Laser Hair Removal
Reveal your best self with our advanced laser treatment
What is laser hair removal?
Laser hair removal treatment is an excellent investment if you are looking to move on from your regular hair removal routine and enjoy effortlessly smoother skin and the confidence that comes with it. The HA Laser Studio team is here to make the process as easy as possible, using precision laser technology for long-lasting results.
Laser hair removal reduces hair growth over time using a concentrated beam of light aimed at the skin. Over a series of treatments, laser hair removal results in fewer and finer hairs. It’s an ideal solution if you want smoother skin without the daily hassle of shaving, the inconvenience of bleaching or the discomfort of waxing.
Laser hair removal is safe when carried out by a trained professional. It is clinically proven and suitable for a wide variety of skin tones and hair types.
How many sessions do I need to achieve my desired result?
Hair grows in cycles of around four to 12 months, depending on the area of the body. Laser removal treatment is most effective during the active growth phase of the hair growth cycle. However, not all hairs are in this phase at the same time, which is why multiple treatments and maintenance treatments re necessary.
Most clients require eight treatments, around four to six weeks apart. This allows us to target all hairs at the active stage of their growth cycle. You may begin to see a noticeable difference after just your first treatment and a few subsequent treatments, with smoother skin and slower hair regrowth.
For more permanent hair reduction, you may benefit from top-up sessions once or twice a year, particularly for areas with hormonal hair growth or excessive hair growth , such as the face or bikini line. We’ll always give you a realistic idea of what to expect during your consultation.
Who is a good candidate for laser hair removal?
Laser hair removal is suitable for most healthy adults who want to reduce unwanted body or facial hair. The results depend on your hair and skin type – the ideal combination for best results tends to be dark hair and fair to medium skin, but we do see great results on darker skin.
What to expect from the process
At HA Laser Studio, our professional practitioners are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, they are also friendly and caring. We are all passionate about helping you feel confident in your skin, especially with cosmetic procedures and we will be there to support you throughout your treatment journey.
Consultation
We will start with a one-on-one consultation to talk about your needs and whether laser hair removal is right for you. You should be prepared to answer questions about your medical history, skincare routine, and prescribed medications.
We’re not being nosy! It helps us confirm your suitability for the treatment, ensure your safety and adapt the treatment for best results. If you’re new to laser treatment, this is the perfect time to ask any questions.
Patch test
Patch tests are essential for safety and help us customise your treatment plan. We’ll carry out a compulsory patch test at least 48 hours before your first full treatment. This involves applying the laser light to a small area of your skin to see how it reacts. That way, we can decide on the most comfortable and effective settings for your skin type.
Treatment
On the day of your appointment, you’ll receive a warm welcome while we make you comfortable. You’ll be given protective eyewear, and your laser practitioner will explain what to expect. The laser handpiece will be gently applied to your skin, and you’ll feel warm, pulsing sensations as the laser moves over the area.
Most clients say it’s like a light flick from a rubber band, and they can tolerate it easily. Our system includes cooling technology to help reduce any discomfort. Depending on the size of the area, treatments can take anywhere from a few minutes to around an hour.
Post-treatment care
After treatment, your laser practitioner will check for any immediate reactions and apply soothing gel. They will then give you clear aftercare advice (see more on this below) and answer any questions you might have before you leave.

Frequently asked questions about laser hair removal
Is laser hair removal permanent?
Laser hair removal usually results in long-term hair reduction rather than permanent removal. Most clients see a significant reduction in hair growth, and many are pleased to discover they can permanently reduce hair growth after a full course of treatments and occasional maintenance sessions.
How many sessions do I need?
The number of treatments you need depends on many factors, including the area being treated, your hair type, any medications you take, medical conditions you have, and hormonal influences such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.
How much does laser hair removal cost?
The cost depends on what part of the body is being treated and how many sessions it takes to achieve your desired result. Following a detailed consultation, we will provide you with a personalised quote and proposed treatment plan.
Can you treat all skin types?
Yes, at HA Laser, we only use medical-grade lasers, allowing us to treat all skin types safely and effectively.
I have blonde hair; can I still have laser hair removal?
Unfortunately, blonde, grey, white and red hair do not contain melanin, so they don’t respond to laser hair removal treatment.
Does laser hair removal hurt?
The sensation is well-tolerated by most people, who describe it as feeling like a series of flicks to the skin. However, everyone has a different pain threshold, leading some to wonder if laser hair removal hurt and your experience may differ from the next person’s. But be assured that our advanced Cynosure lasers work quickly and have cooling devices to help keep you comfortable.
